This technique interprets the photo realism of a flower into a jewel-like
wall hanging using fabric. This is a great project for looking through your
fabric stash and pulling out your favorite colors.

Suggested Additional Supply List:

Fabric from enclosed Color List
Ironing surface
Iron, a mini is best
Rotary Cutting Ruler - 6x12" and/or 6x24" (or similar)
Pen, several #2 Pencils
Rotary Cutter with a fresh blade
Safety Pins (about 2 dozen, size #1) and/or Straight Pins
Fabric & paper scissors
Self-Healing Cutting Mat
Sewing Machine
Thread to match fabric
16 x 16" piece of cardboard

Fabric Colors Needed

16 Flower petal colors
4 Center colors
1 Black
3 Greens
24 Total colors (1/16 yard each)

Since most cotton yardage is 45" wide, you will be cutting at the most, two
scant 1" strips from one fabric: 1/16 yard (2-1/2").  Fat Quarters and
1/4 yard cuts will give you more than enough (some fabric stores will even
let you buy 1/16 & 1/8 yard cuts) you can also use scraps for some of
the colors requiring very small amounts.

Entire project will take about 20-25 hours including border, quilting and
binding.

Approximate finished size of flower is 15 x 15"
