Corduroy Quilt Top + Purple Triangles

5/5/2007-
Tucker REALLY likes his quilt!

It may not be my best prize winning quilt ever, but I sure to get a treat everytime I see the boys rolling around on it!
And Timon likes to be UNDER it!

Two are done in one quilt!
It will be mostly Tucker's Quilt since I've positioned it at his favorite spot on the bed. He happy to model for me as well as test drive it right away.

Can you see my "excellent" quilting? I did only what I had to hold it together, will see how it goes thought first washing, I may need to add more. The corduroy is the perfect fur magnet too, not sure if this is a good thing or not.

Anyway I finished it last night and it removes two items from my UFO list .... Yeah!

Well here is one stashbusting idea I had this week, two tops I made that I don't really want to go further with, they are in fabrics that are not "quilty". The purple one is a poly blend from my beginner years, the second is corduroy from the same era. I am thinking that if I just sew the two together the boys might enjoy a good snooze on them. I don't mind washing these repeatedly.

I think this has Polyester in it, now what do I do with it?

Corduroy Quilt Top - I made from strips of corduroy that I got from a thrift store twenty or more years ago and put together while trying to be improvisational. Just the top, but what to do with it...

It sort of looks like some of the Gee's Bend quilts, though I would say my influence has been more from a show I saw in the late 80's called "Who'd Though It" in San Francisco. I will never be that loose with my piecing because I am too much of a perfectionist, but I love the way things just "happen"
